Why?
Because my HTML3 code was untidy and did not comply with W3C standards and I thought it would be a good idea to learn about HTML5.
Note: you will need to click the compatibility button in the address bar to get IE8 and 9 to display the footer in the correct place but rounded corners should then display correctly. The latest versions of Chrome and Firefox should not exhibit display problems.
